DEHN provides the rail sector with a coordinated range of products, solutions and services such as external and internal lightning protection, surge protection, equipotential bonding, earthing measures for buildings and railway systems, safety equipment and other services, including lightning protection planning and laboratory tests.
For maximum system availability: DEHNventil ACI
High demands are placed on the availability of switchgear – for example in railway interlockings. This makes surge protection essential. And changing surge protection modules should not compromise system availability. The new DEHNventil ACI M TNS 264 FM has no backup fuse and is flexible in terms of its application. The touch-safe design allows the protection module to be replaced without system downtime. The ACI technology employed also enables connection cross-sections of just 16 mm2. This facilitates installation and saves time.
DEHNcare ArcFit – The personal protective equipment (PPE)
DEHNcare ArcFit is light, comfortable and safe protective clothing. It meets arc flash protection class APC°2 and fulfils high-visibility clothing class 3. The protective clothing is also designed to be comfortable and suitable for everyday use.
DEHNsense EFD – More safety when working on electrical installations
The DEHNsense EFD, a voltage detector that can be worn on the wrist or helmet, completes the protective clothing. It provides visual, acoustic and haptic warnings of the dangers of electric current by detecting a critical AC voltage and alerting the user in good time before entering the immediate danger zone. As an additional measure to the 5 safety rules, the detector can significantly increase safety when working on electrical systems. All relevant events are logged in the DEHNwork app, which enables complete documentation.
Check the condition of overhead lines easily
The DEHNproX wireless inspection camera enables safe and efficient inspection of switchgear and overhead contact lines in the railway environment. The inspection can be carried out without disconnecting the systems, which increases operational safety and minimises downtimes. The practical inspection camera with DB InfraGO AG approval thus facilitates the regular visual inspection and documentation of the condition of the live overhead contact line system. This contributes significantly to the safety and reliability of the railway infrastructure by enabling potential hazards to be recognised and rectified at an early stage.
